Your crypto tax figures for A$40, worked out on your own computer.
Paste your Solana and Ethereum wallet addresses. ACRO reads your transactions from the blockchain, applies capital gains rules based on ATO guidance, and calculates the crypto figures for your tax return for you to review: net capital gain, losses to carry forward and staking income.
- Works with Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base and Polygon
- No account, no subscription
- In the download, your wallet history stays on your computer
- CSV exports for your accountant
There's no free tier
We'd rather say so up front. Adding wallets, scanning, reviewing and seeing how many taxable events you have is free. The dollar amounts unlock for A$40, so there's no surprise paywall after an hour of work.
One price per year
A$40 per financial year for one taxpayer, including the online version. Most crypto tax services charge by the number of transactions, so check their current pricing to compare.
What we know about your wallets
In the download, your wallet addresses go from your computer straight to the blockchain provider you choose, never to us. We store your email, the years you bought and your payment records, and our database has no field for a wallet address. In the online version, addresses pass through our server without being stored.
How it works
Scan your wallets, reconcile the source records and review the calculation. The time needed depends on your trading history and how complete your records are.
Paste your wallet addresses
Public addresses only. ACRO never asks for a seed phrase and never "connects" to your wallet. Add as many as you like.
Scan the blockchain
ACRO downloads the history available for your wallet addresses and keeps it on your computer. Balance changes show what moved; you confirm whether each movement was a swap, transfer, reward or another event.
Answer a few questions
The blockchain can't tell whether an incoming 2 SOL was a staking reward or a transfer from your own wallet, so ACRO asks. Questions come biggest first, and one answer can cover dozens of transactions.
Reconcile missing records
Native balances and acquisition records are checked. Add exchange trades, missing rewards and fees, and correct AUD values in the ledger. Missing prices and costs remain unresolved rather than becoming zero.
Prepare working papers for your return
Once records are resolved, export crypto totals, income and individual parcel matches for your accountant. Combine these with gains and losses from other assets before completing your return.
Australian resident individual investors: documented acquisition costs and dates; capital losses before the eligible 50% discount; staking and established-token airdrops valued as income; supported incidental costs and crypto fee disposals; wrapped-token exchanges treated as disposals by default. Keep records identifying the parcels sold.
How ACRO compares
The large crypto tax sites charge by transaction count and keep your wallet history on their servers. ACRO charges one flat fee and doesn't store your wallet history on its servers.
| ACRO | Koinly | CoinTracker | Crypto Tax Calculator | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price per tax year | A$40 flat | By transaction count | By transaction count | By transaction count |

Based on each provider's published information as at October 2026; their plans and features change, so check their websites for current details. Product names are trademarks of their owners. If you trade mostly on centralised exchanges or across dozens of chains, the larger tools are the better choice. ACRO is built for on-chain Solana and EVM wallets.
One price, two ways to run it
A licence covers one financial year in both the downloadable app and the online version. There's no subscription; buy again next year only if you need to.
- Every dollar figure and the tax-return labels
- No ACRO limit on wallets or transactions in the download
- Online version with 10,000 lookups included (no setup)
- CSV exports for your accountant
- Re-run it as often as you like; your history stays cached
- 30-day refund if the figures don't reconcile with your records
Heavy trader using the online version? Add 50,000 lookups for A$10, or use the download with your own Alchemy account and no ACRO limit.
One licence covers one taxpayer for one financial year. Pay by card through Stripe. Your key arrives by email within a minute and works in both the download and the online app.
By buying, you agree to our Terms of use, including the refund policy.
Each licence includes 10,000 online lookups: about one per Solana transaction, or two to three per transaction on Ethereum-style networks. Scanning in the download with your own provider account doesn't use them.
Download (recommended)
Runs on your computer and reads the blockchain with your own Alchemy account, which has a free plan. The app walks you through signing up. No ACRO limits, the most privacy, and you can try everything except the dollar figures before paying.
Online
Nothing to install. It uses ACRO's blockchain provider account, so you'll need a licence before scanning. Your wallet addresses pass through our server to that provider; your history is processed and stored in your browser, not on our servers. We keep a count of lookups used.
Privacy you can check
The app's Privacy screen lists what leaves your computer in the mode you're using. In the download with your own provider account, your wallet addresses go from your computer to that provider, never to ACRO. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.
What ACRO's servers hold
- The email you paid with
- Which financial years you bought, and your payment records
- Online version only: a count of lookups used
Stripe handles payments. There are no passwords because there are no accounts: your licence key is the login.
Questions people ask before buying
Is this tax advice? Will the ATO accept it?
No, it isn't advice. ACRO is calculation software that applies rules based on the ATO's published guidance for crypto held as an investment: CGT with the 12-month discount, staking and airdrops as ordinary income, and losses carried forward. Neither ACRO nor its operator is a registered tax agent. The ATO doesn't approve or certify software like ACRO; what matters is that the figures you lodge are right and that you keep your records. If you want advice you can rely on, or your situation has quirks such as trading as a business, personal-use assets or non-residency, ask a registered tax agent. Every export is designed to be handed to one.
Which financial years can I do?
The current financial year and the five before it, with one licence per year. Most people are buying FY2025-26 right now. The app always scans your complete history, because a coin sold this year may have been bought in 2021 and its purchase price matters.
What about coins I bought on Coinbase, Binance or CoinSpot?
A withdrawal is not a new acquisition. Enter the original purchase date and actual AUD cost from your exchange statement, or add the exchange purchase as a manual record and classify the withdrawal as an own transfer. Exchange-only trades and fees need manual records or the batch JSON import; ACRO does not connect directly to exchange accounts.
Do I need an Alchemy account?
For the download, yes. Alchemy has a free plan (check its current terms), and the account lets the app read the blockchain without going through ACRO. The online version doesn't need one because it uses ACRO's key, which is why it has a transaction allowance.
What if the numbers are wrong?
The health checks compare your computed balances with the live blockchain and flag anything unmatched, unpriced or unanswered, each with a specific fix. If the figures still don't reconcile with your records, email us within 30 days for a full refund. See Refunds.
Which cost-basis method does it use?
FIFO is the default matching policy, with LIFO and HIFO comparisons. Keep records identifying the parcels you disposed of. The parcel export preserves acquisition records, dates and mixed holding periods for your accountant.
Does it handle wrapped tokens, bridging, NFTs and DeFi?
Wrapped-token exchanges are treated as disposals by default. Own transfers require retained ownership; bridging, liquidity pools and lending need review of the actual arrangement. EVM NFTs retain individual contract/token IDs and need documented values. The app reads movements rather than decoding every protocol, and special non-taxable DeFi treatments require supporting records.
What happens to my data if ACRO shuts down?
Your data is on your computer, so it stays with you, and you can back it up like any other file. Your licence keeps working in the desktop app, because it's checked on your computer rather than against our servers. Scanning needs a blockchain provider, and your own Alchemy account works without us. The online version would stop.
Check everything before you pay
In the desktop app, adding wallets, scanning, answering questions and running the health checks are free. The dollar figures unlock for A$40 when you're ready.
